Every transaction carries tax consequences.

Sometimes transactions with similar outcomes have different tax consequences. Sometimes the taxpayer and the tax authority have a different understanding of the tax consequence. Sometimes Estonian legislation is not the only consideration in determining the tax consequences (cross-border transactions). And sometimes legislation is ambiguous about the tax consequences.

These are just a handful of scenarios where you might want to call in an expert. Someone familiar with tax law, judicial decisions and administrative practice. Someone who can highlight the pros and cons of each option in a clear and understandable way. Someone with experience in dealing with the tax authorities. Someone who knows the right questions to ask.

A few examples of the tax matters we deal with:

I have over 20 years of experience with taxation: as a tax specialist at the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, as a tax consultant at the audit firm Ernst & Young, as a tax lawyer at Law firm GLIMSTEDT and as a tax advisor at the tech company Bolt.
